Today's students are faced by many obstacles that limit their ability to achieve their full potential. It is our belief at Symmes Valley High School that by providing a comprehensive counseling department, we assist students in removing as manay obstacles as possible to help them obtain their greatest potential.
Therefore:

  • All students have access to counseling services at Symmes Valley.

  • All students have value and deserve respect.

  • All students can become lifelong learners who lead successful lives.

  • All students have the right to a safe and secure environment to learn and grow as unique individuals.

Counselor Services

Services offered by the Symmes Valley High School Counselor:

  • Provide direct counseling services to students individually and in support groups.

  • Provide education and support to parents.

  • Provide information on college admittance and requirements.

  • Educate students and parents on graduation requirements.

  • Meet regulary with at-risk population.

  • Develop and deliver classroom guidance lessons.

  • Schedule college visits for students.

  • Facilitate referrals to community support services.

  • Advise students on academic planning.
