Summer EBT
Viking Families,
For the past few summers, families have received P-EBT benefits during the summer months. These benefits were available to all families with school-aged children, because Symmes Valley participates in the National School Lunch Program under the Community Eligibility Provision.
This Summer, Ohio is participating in Summer EBT (S-EBT). This program is also known as SUN Bucks. A major change is that only families who meet specific household income guidelines will be eligible for summer 2024 benefits. If your household already participates in SNAP, OWF, Head Start, or if income eligible and receiving Medicaid benefits, your child will automatically be enrolled to receive summer benefits. Additionally, if we received your household information survey and you met the guidelines to be eligible for free or reduced price lunches, you will automatically receive the benefit. Benefits will be issued beginning in July as a one-time payment of $120 per school-aged child.
If you do not currently participate in any of the above programs and did not complete the household information survey but believe that you may qualify for the benefit, you can still apply online at https://sebt.ohio.gov/apply/. You can also complete the household information survey paperwork and return it to the Symmes Valley Board of Education office NO LATER THAN August 6, 2024.
